India has signed various defence deals with Indian as well as with foreign vendors in the past three years. Total of 111 contracts have been signed with Indian vendors for procurement of defence equipment, amounting value of Rs. 94,020.67 crore. Whereas, 72 contracts / agreements involving a total value of Rs. 1,29,918.19 crores have been signed in the same period for procurement of defence equipment from foreign countries, including 36 fighter aircraft from France.
