Naval Group Proj 75(I)

French shipbuilder Naval Group (formerly DCNS) has responded to the IN’s request for information (RFI) for Project-75(I), a INR500 billion (USD7.81 billion) procurement programme with assurance of maximum usage of indigenous content, transfer of technology, and advanced weapon systems as a OEM in this “Strategic Partner” (SP) programme.

Joint Working Group on Aircraft Carrier Technology Cooperation

The Indo US Joint Working Group on Aircraft Carrier Technology Cooperation (JWGACTC) in their 4th meeting recently discussed plans for future cooperation under different aspects of aircraft carrier technology, including design optimisation and trials procedure, beside plans for future co-operation under various aspects of aircraft carrier technology.

Glide Bombs Tested

Indigenously developed light weight Glide Bomb, SAAW (Smart Anti Airfield Weapon) was successfully tested from Indian Air Force aircraft, in the ranges at ITR, Chandipur. The guided bomb released from the aircraft and guided through precision navigation system, reached the targets at greater than 70 km range, with high accuracies.
