Boeing is considering offering its F-15EX fighter to the Indian Air Force for Multi Role Fighter Aircraft (MRFA) program. The company has recently sought an export license for India for the F-15EX, the latest variant of the F-15E Strike Eagle multi-role fighter. Previously, the Request for Information (RFI) was issued by the IAF on 4th April 2018 for the procurement of 114 Multi Role Fighter Aircraft (MRFA) worth approx. USD 15 Billion under the Indian Strategic Partnership (SP). Six firms responded to the RFI with Boeing offering F/A-18E/F Super Hornet. The other contenders in the fray are - Lockheed Martin’s F-16 Fighting Falcon, Dassault Aviation’s Rafale, Eurofighter Typhoon, SAAB’s Gripen and Russian United Aircraft Corporation’s MiG-35.
