Indigenous ASW for Indian Navy

Indian shipyard Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd (GRSE) built Anti Submarine Warfare Corvette (ASW) INS Kamorta has been commissioned into the Indian Navy. With about 90 per cent of the ship being indigenous, it would also be the first warship armed with an indigenous rocket launcher for anti submarine warfare. The ASW is fitted with bow mounted 'Sonar' (sound navigation and ranging) for enhanced underwater surveillance.
