The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has issued a new list of companies with whom defence business have been either debarred, suspended or put on hold. The new list names six defence companies - Singapore Technologies Kinetics Ltd (STK), Israel Military Industries Ltd (IMI), Indian companies TS Kisan & Co Pvt Ltd and RK Machine Tools Ltd, Rheinmetall Air Defence (RAD), Zurich, and Russia’s Corporation Defence, that have been debarred from doing defence business in India. Meanwhile, doing business with 13 firms has been put on hold or suspended which include - IDS, Tunisia, Infotech Design System (IDS), IDS Infotech, Aeromatrix Info Solution, Shanx Oceaneering, Inter Spiro India, Experts Systems, Unitech Enterprises, Kelvin Engineering, Atlas group of companies including Atlas Telecom and Atlas Defence Services, Offset India Solutions (P) Ltd and its Group companies/functionaries, Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. and Vectra Advanced Engineering. Also, procurement has been restricted from two companies namely Rolls Royce and its allied and subsidiaries companies and Tatra Trucks of the Czech Republic. However, AgustaWestland and its parent company Leonardo, previously Finmeccanica, have been dropped from the list of firms with which defence procurement was suspended previously.
