India will be commissioning its first indigenously-built stealth anti-submarine warfare INS Kamorta, today. Kamorta is the first of four ASW stealth corvettes and has been built by the state-owned Garden Reach Shipbuilders. It is the first vessel in the Navy whose all weapon systems are manufactured indigenously. The warship would carry short-range Surface-to-Air missiles (SAM) and Active Towed Array Decoy System (ATDS). It can also carry an integral ASW helicopter.
