India to buy bird detection and monitoring radars

The Ministry of Defence is speeding up the process of procurement of 45 bird detection and monitoring radars for all its military air bases. Out of 45 radars to be procured, 39 will go to the Air Force, while the remaining six will be for the Navy. The cost of these radars could be over Rs.250 crore. The commercial bids from four companies have been received, which are - Axis Aerospace, Data Pattern, OIS-AT and Dutch firm Robin Radar.
