Hindustan Aeronautics Limited's (HAL) indigenously designed and developed Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) recently has successfully completed hot weather flight trials. The one-week long trials were held at Jodhpur measuring a series of parameters. The chopper has already completed cold weather flight testing at Leh in February 2015. After the successful completion of all the trials, the programme is now inching towards the Initial Operational Clearance (IOC) phase. The LCH is a twin-engine, combat helicopter of 5.8-tonne class to meet the requirements of Indian defence forces.
