Lockheed bags contract to upgrade AH-64E Apache targeting and pilotage system

Lockheed Martin has been awarded Lot 4 follow-on contract worth $21.7 million to continue production of the Modernized Day Sensor Assembly (M-DSA) for the AH-64E Apache attack helicopter by the U.S. Army. The contract envisages for Lockheed Martin to build Modernized Laser Rangefinder Designator (M-LRFD) kits, which will improve the principal targeting aid for the Apache helicopters enabling pilots to designate targets and establish target range for accurate weapon engagement.
