India signed 182 contracts in last three years

India has signed 182 contracts in the last three years with domestic and foreign vendors for the procurement of defence equipments for the three armed services. Out of which 62 contracts were signed for the Navy, 79 for Army and 41 contracts were signed for the Air Force. The defence equipment included ships, missiles, rockets, simulators, tanks, guns, aircraft, helicopters and radars. Also, total of 169 procurement proposals have been approved during the last three financial years with total Acceptance of Necessity (AoN) cost of Rs. 2,49,755 Crores.
