Warships for the Indian Navy

Reliance Defence has entered into a strategic partnership agreement with Russia’s largest shipbuilder, United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) and Rosoboronexport, which focuses on modernisation and refitment of all Russian origin surface warships of the Indian Navy at Reliance’s newly acquired facility in Pipavav. Reliance is also set to sign an agreement with Russian United Shipbuilding Company (USC) to build these four upgraded Talwar class frigates, classified as Project 11356 vessels for the Indian Navy. These four front-line warships will be built at a cost of nearly Rs 30,000 crore at the Pipavav shipyard in Gujarat. The delivery of warship is expected over 6-8 years.
