US based Lockheed Martin Corp. is considering India’s TATA as a potential partner to build its F-16 fighter aircrafts as India looks to modernize an aging fleet of fighter jets. Both the companies have a joint venture since 2012 to build tail sections and wing-box components for the C-130 cargo plane’s global supply chain. Earlier this year, Lockheed Martin has offered for local production of the F-16 jets both to meet Indian requirements and as well as for exports.
