Thales is keen to increase its presence in India and is looking for more joint ventures. Earlier it has Joint Ventures with the state-run BEL, Samtel and L&T. Its aim is to involving the country in the group's global strategy. India currently contributes less than 2.5 per cent to the Thales 14 billion Euro annual turnover. Also the company is spreading its wings in the Indian civilian sector, like smart city projects and railways, besides the military segment.
