India to buy AWACS, Drones worth $1.4 Bn from Israel

India has signed contracts worth $1.4 billion with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) for the procurement of two Phalcon/IL-76 Airborne Early Warning and Control Systems (AWACS) and 10 Heron TP armed Unmanned Air Vehicles (UAVs). The deal for AWACS values around $1 billion and will be delivered to Indian within the next two to three years, while the deal for 10 Heron UAVs is around $400 Million with the deliveries slated to begin from 2019.
