India successfully test fired Agni-I ballistic missile

India has successfully test-fired it’s indigenously built nuclear capable Agni-I ballistic missile, which can hit a target 700 km away. Powered by solid propellants, the surface-to-surface missile is 15-metre-long and weighs 12 tonnes, and can carry a payload of more than one tonne. Its strike range can be extended by reducing the payload and is equipped with sophisticated navigation system.
