Ballistic Missile Defence System for India

India and Israel have entered into an agreement to assemble a ballistic missile defence system for India. The system would be designed to protect against nuclear warheads fired from neighboring countries. Currently, both the sides are under contract negotiations that could extend into late 2014. The initial agreement would partner IAI as well as Israel's state-owned Rafael Advanced Defense Systems with India's DRDO, Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) and Bharat Electronics.
